| Well heres a funny thought. I'm retarded about running right now. I came home from work and calculated that i would barely have time to run the 6 miles i needed for my team before the fitness center closed. So i hurried it up and started over to the fitness center. I'll cut myself off there and just say I'm amazed at what this nike plus thing has done for my running motivation. Its genius for an internet junkie like myself. If i had possessed this nike plus sensor back in 2005 i would have trained a lot better for the marathon. http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/?l=all_challenges,1291087284 Thats the challenge. You basically pick a team and when you run, your miles add up with your team. Tonight was the last night for that particular challenge, and unless Team Grilled Cheese ran some last minute spoiler miles tonight, I may have pulled off the upset in the 4th quarter. -TheWolf | | |
| Just got back from Cloverfield. No spoilers, but i feel like i just got off a ride, not watched a movie. Saw a couple people leave the theatre because they couldnt handle the sense of motion sickness. Pretty cool experience for a movie. Thumbs up from Josh. Strapped on the skates and shot the puck around out in CT on some flooded basketball courts tonight instead of running. Felt awesome to skate again. Managed to destroy my last usable stick from the Cincinnati hockey days working on my slapshot. Back in D5 hockey i didnt need to practice the slapper as you could only wrist shots in that league and were called for high sticking if your shot was above the knee. I'm gonna need some better quality sticks from the ones i was using if i'm going to keep playing. Its funny to think that one of my first hockey sticks was re-designed into the hallowed Danza 2.0 for lotball, and this one was disgracefully discarded into the metal barrel that we were shooting into for a goal. The thought of Danza 3.0 crossed my mind for a brief moment... -TheWolf | | |
| trying to use the weekend as my long run, I hit up a 6 miler today. No major changes to the playlist, used one of the sportmixes from itunes with a lot of heavy rock songs. The 6 miles did complete my mile a day goal for January 11 days early which is solid. To clarify my previous post. I pretty much gave up my pirate ways when it comes to music, because i pretty much have all the music i need for now. Not to mention a certain cousin is bringing back 3 terrabytes worth of music and movies from overseas later this year which should add to my 23000 song library quite nicely. -TheWolf | | |
| Darkwater's blog reminded me to checkout the first ep in the sarah connor chronicles, which is on fox.com if you missed it. Pretty baller, i'm gonna have to DVR the series. Lets see, i'm off for 2 days and i'm going to start my first day off by going into the store to take care of some stuff, how baller is that? Did i mention that I'm not drinking for the month of January? No running today, my 8 mile run yesterday gave me the lead in my nike challenge. One of the clones thought he'd be sneaky and run a couple miles to hit the 20 mile mark before i did. And he did so congrats to him, but after my miles totalled in i had the lead in overall miles again, so congrats to me. More miles tomorrow. Got a ton of new music to check out during my runs in the last few days by cashing in my itunes gift cards. which are always a baller gift for me as i "pretty much" gave up my pirate ways when it comes to music. Baller i said baller about 5 times in this post... baller. -TheWolf | | |
| Competition got fierce this weekend with the nike plus challenges between my friends. One of the clones blew out 9 miles friday night taking the lead in our challenge. I've still been following the old marathon training routine of not running on friday or monday so i couldnt catch him until i got home from work tonight. Headed down there with a strong playlist of mostly rock songs i got from the sport mixes page at itunes and belted out 8.4 miles to take back the lead in our challenge. In for a long day at the store tomorrow to prep for a visit. Time to crash, that run should help. -TheWolf | | |
